Sky Introduces New Sky Sports+ Streaming Channel
The new Sky Sports+ channel will be integrated into the existing offering and allow the broadcaster to show up to 100 concurrent streams.
At an exclusive briefing held at Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football studio, Sky unveiled Sky Sports+, a new dedicated sports streaming service launching this August. Sky Sports+ will provide access to live streams via the Sky Sports mobile app and a dedicated new channel at no extra cost. Integrated into Sky TV, the streaming service NOW, and a revamped Sky Sports mobile app, it unlocks the capability to show up to 100 live events via concurrent streams, giving fans more choice than ever before regarding what to watch.
Sky estimates that the new service will provide access to 50% more live sports content than before. This will include the EFL, the ATP and WTA tennis tours, US Open, PGA Tour, men’s Super League rugby, and more.
