Netflix’s 4Q 2024 Earnings
Reaffirms its leadership position and is absolutely running away in the streaming market.
On 21 January 2025, Netflix reported its 4Q 2024 earnings. Here are some of the key highlights:
Revenue in 4Q grew 16% year-on-year to more than $10.2bn, or 19% on a foreign exchange neutral basis
In 2024 it generated more than $39bn in revenue, up 16% over 2023
Profits were more than $8.7bn for the year, compared with $5.4bn in 2024
Paid net additions totalled 18.91m in the quarter compared to 13.12m for the same period in the prior year
Total paid base now stands at 301.63m subscribers
Operating income amounted to $2.27bn, up from $1.4bn in the year-ago period, while operating margin improved to 22.2% vs. 16.9% in the year-ago quarter
Free cash flow was down from $1.66bn for the same quarter last year to $1.37bn
EPS for the quarter stood at $4.27 compared with $2.11 last year
For FY25, Netflix forecasts revenue growth between 12%-14%
