DTW24 - Ignite: Insights from TM Forum’s Flagship Event
DTW24 - Ignite took place in Copenhagen last week and was a fascinating glimpse into the future directions the telco industry is heading.
The TM Forum’s flagship event, DTW - Ignite, took place in Copenhagen between 18-20 June. This global telecom summit brings together a vast array of telecom and tech companies with the association defining the building blocks for new operating models, advanced software platforms, and nurturing impactful new partnerships. It is both influential and a smaller, more intimate gathering than many other global telecom events, attracting just shy of 4000 delegates.
Companies mentioned in this piece: Axiata Group, BT Group, Cognizant, Deutsche Telekom, e&, EE, Infosys, MEF, NVIDIA, Oracle, Red Bull Racing, Singtel, Softbank, SK Telecom, and the TM Forum.
Partnerships remain at the core of the event, as underlined by the conference programme and extensive networking opportunities available throughout the day and night activities.
The challenges facing telcos across all levels have now been well articulated. Most, if not all, are currently undergoing major transformation. Implementing the new, renewed focus this demands is not easy for many given their legacy infrastructure. And, to put it simply, many are resistant to change.
