The 100th Anniversary IFA Delivers a Compelling Show
AI dominated every aspect of IFA Berlin with some innovative new products on display, while the battle between Intel and Qualcomm ratcheted up a notch.
IFA took place from 6-10 September 2024 and, according to the event organisers, hosted more than 215,000 visitors from 138 countries. For this special centenary edition, it was only fitting that a hologram of the German-born theoretical physicist Albert Einstein was brought to life to welcome visitors given that he gave the opening speech in 1930. As well as showcasing its long history, this aligns with IFA’s mission of “Innovation For All”, making tomorrow’s technology accessible to everyone.
In addition, there was a commemorative area dedicated to the evolution of technology in consumer electronics.
Everything and more was on the show floor which typically attracts leading home consumer electronic providers such as LG, Samsung, AEG, Miele, etc. Notably, Google was on the show floor too with its new Pixel line-up.
Here are my observations from the show, my key takeaways, and the things that caught my eye.
